Print run beats color
When color and print run disagree, trust the print run. A Purple /150 is rarer than a Green with no number, even though Green usually ranks higher - the serial is the truth.
Serial number = rarity
The smaller the number after the slash, the rarer the card. /5 is far scarcer than /150, and a 1/1 is the only one that exists. No serial usually means a common base-tier parallel.
Same color, different brand
A color name means different rarity depending on the brand. Topps Chrome Green is /99, but Panini Prizm Green is an unnumbered base parallel. Always read the brand before judging rarity.
